Sequential glass and melting transitions in semi-crystalline shape memory polymers (SMPs) provide great opportunities to design generate multiple shape-memory effects (SMEs) for practical applications. However, the complexly dynamic confinements of coexisting amorphous crystalline phases within SMPs are yet fully understood. In this study, an interfacial confinement model is formulated describe relaxation behavior undergoing sequential phase/state transitions. A entropy first established transition phase based on free volume theory, where critically confined by phase. An extended Avrami then using frozen theory characterize crystallization SMPs, whose with has been identified as driving force supercooled regime. Furthermore, Maxwell effect two SMEs recovery behaviors SMPs. Finally, effectiveness newly proposed verified experimental data reported literature. This study aims a new methodology cooperative principles SMP towards SMEs.
